Original 1920s Cast Iron Fireplace Insert with Red Subway Tiles
This is an original 1920s cast iron fireplace insert with deep red subway tiles and a decorative cast iron frame.
The red tiled side panels give the fireplace strong period character, while the smooth canopy, black cast iron finish and simple fire opening keep the overall look balanced. It would suit a period home, cottage or restoration project where a compact tiled fireplace insert is required.
Restored in our Dorset workshop, the fireplace is supplied complete with its fret, grate, clay fireback and cast iron fireback.
